Happy Mother’s Day!!! 
 
On Saturday, May 9th, the Italian Heritage Society meeting in Farrell Hall at 6:00p.m. presents Italian Movie Night, Summertime (1955), a romantic comedy drama film starring Katharine Hepburn, Rossano Brazzi, Darren McGavin, and Isa Miranda.   Filmed entirely in Venice Italy in color and in English (with Italian greetings throughout). Please bring a salad, appetizer, pasta or dessert to share. 
 
Our 8th graders are being confirmed on Thursday, May 14th and you can help the eighth graders celebrate by baking treats and finger foods for their reception. See the bulletin for details and to sign up!!
 
This weekend the second collection will benefit the Parish’s Special Needs. Next weekend, we will have a second collection for our Diocesan Retired Priests.
 
SAVE THE DATE: The following events are coming up. Please make note on your calendar and watch for further information in our bulletin, on our website or in future Flocknotes!!
 
Scheduled Monthly Events:
  • All-day Adoration is in the Parish Center Chapel from 7:00am until 7:00pm and on First Friday, all-night Adoration from 7:00pm is available in the church every First Friday with Saturday devotions on the First Saturdays of the month
  • Young Adults gather for coffee and breakfast the first Sunday of the month after the 9:30am Mass every month
  • Luminaries of Holy Mary will meet on the first Monday of the month in the Conference Room from 5:00pm to 6:30pm to discuss Fatima and pray the Rosary. 
  • Patricians meet monthly on the first Monday of the month at 7:00pm in Farrell Hall to discuss Catholic topics
  • Family Adoration is normally offered every third Saturday of the month starting at 10:00am in the new church. No Family Adoration from June through August. Come May 16th!!
  • Spaghetti Dinner and Pancake Breakfast are usually the second weekend of the month. Have a great dinner after the 5:00pm Mass on Saturday. Pancake Breakfast is served after the 7:30am and 9:30am Masses. No Spaghetti Dinner for May, instead come to Polish Night on May 16th. The Knights are taking a Pancake Breakfast break for the Summer. They will be back in September.
  • Diapers, Wipes and Formula will be collected during the weekend of the fourth Sunday of the month and donations can be left in the foyer of the Parish Center. Collection is next weekend.
  • The second collection on the third Sunday of the month is for debt reduction. This month the Debt Reduction collection will be taken the weekend of May 23rd.
  • Food Pantry donation bags are usually given out the first weekend of the month with the collection through the second Sunday at 1:00pm. Pantry is collecting donations next weekend.
  • Martha’s Table4th Sunday Sandwich Collection will be on the fourth Sunday, only from 1-3 PM.Drop off at the back of Farrell Hall (Door 4). Full details at tinyurl.com/MTSandwichesNext weekend they will collect sandwiches.
 
Upcoming Events:
 
  • The Knights of Columbus invite parishioners to Polish Night on Saturday, May 16th starting at 6:30pm. See the bulletin for details and sign-up information.
  • Sign up for a home visit with the Pilgrim Virgin Statue Visitation Program, Sign-ups will be available the weekend of May 17th outside the church.
  • The Chosen, Season 5, Episode 7 will be shown on Saturday, May 23rd in the Parish Center starting at 6:30pm with a taco dinner and conversation following the showing. (Note: The start time is later.)
  • Fr. Seh is the Spiritual Director for a walking pilgrimage, The Way of St. James, El Camino from August 22-September 1, 2026. See the bulletin for details.
  • Men of the Parish join the Knights for talk on Catholic Men’s Prayer in Farrell Hall on Tuesday, June 7, 2026, starting at 7:00pm.
  • The Knights are sponsoring a Blood Drive in Farrell Hall on June 7, 2026. More information coming soon!
  • Start saving your donations for the Parish Yard Sale. Collection begins the afternoon of June 7th with the sale on June 12th through 14th. Do you have some time to spare the week of June 7-14, come help with the Yard Sale. There are many tasks and areas that need volunteers to help. Contact Kristin Merrigan at kamerrigan@hotmail.com. Look for information on an organizational meeting coming up.
  • Marian Homes is sponsoring a Shredding Event on June 13, 2026 in the Parish Center Parking lot from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
  • Vacation Bible School is being held the week of August 3rd through August 7th. More information coming.

Moving Foward

Join the Ancient Order of Hiberians to place flags on the graves in our cemetery on Saturday, May 23rd at 9:00am.
 
On Memorial Day, Mass will be offered in the main church at 9:15am and the Blessings of the Graves Procession will begin at 10:30am in the cemetery,, with a reception to follow in the Old Hall, complements of the Hiberians.
