The second collection this weekend will be our monthly debt reduction collection.
 
The Chosen, Episode 7, Season 4 will be shown on October 26th after the 5:00pm Mass in the Parish Center. Dinner will be served.
 
Diapers, Wipes and Formula will be collected this weekend in the Parish Center foyer.
 
Martha’s Table Sandwich collection will be taken from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Sunday, October 27th in the back of Farrell Hall. See the bulletin for details.
 
Anointing of the sick will be offered after the 11:30am Mass this weekend.
 
There will be an Usher’s Meeting on Monday, October 28th at 7:15pm in the church. All new and existing ushers are encouraged to attend.
 
St. Mary’s is starting a Homeschooling Group. Come to the first meeting for Fall Fun in Farrell Hall on Monday, October 28th from 3:00pm to 4:30pm.
 
All Saints’ Day, November 1st is a Holy Day of Obligation, and the Vigil Mass (Oct. 31st) will be celebrated at 4:00pm, with Masses on the feast day at 6:30am, 9:15am and 7:00pm.
 
We will have all day and night Adoration on Friday, November 1st but since Friday is a Holy Day of Obligation, we will have Mass at 7:00pm with no Holy Hour. (Change from the bulletin.)
 
All Souls’ Day is November 2nd and the Mass schedule will include Masses at the Historic Church at 8:30am and 10:30am honoring those that have passed in the last year. Please continue your prayers into the cemetery to pray for all the souls in purgatory through the plenary indulgence you can gain November 1st through November 8th with the usual conditions for an indulgence.
 
Bingo is November 2nd after the 5:00pm Mass in Farrell Hall. Come and have dinner and enjoy Bingo. Proceeds will benefit the Best Choice Mobile Ultrasound and Pregnancy Center.
 
Join the AOH Ladies Tea on Friday, November 8th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm in St. Joseph’s Hall. See the bulletin for details.
 
The Mardi Gras planning meeting will be on Thursday, November 7th in Farrell Hall from7:00pm to 8:30pm.
 
We want to pray for our active military and if you know of a service person who would like to be on our list, please email their name, rank and branch of the military to Irenea@stmaryofsorrows.org or complete the form linked at the top of this page. We will publish the list in November so that we may pray for them.
 
SAVE THE DATE: The following events are coming up. Please make note on your calendar and watch for further information in our bulletin, on our website or in future Flocknotes!!
 
  • The Holiday Express (Boutique’s Fall Sale) will be November16th from 10:00am to 6:30pm and Sunday 8:30am to 1:00pm. Bakers are needed!!
  • The Feast of the Immaculate Conception is a Holy Day of Obligation even though it is on Monday. The USCCB has confirmed that the Holy Day is to be observed on Monday, December 9th. We will not have a Vigil Mass on Sunday (still Sunday), but will have 6:30am, 9:15am and 7:00pm on the feast day.
