Lord, I believe in you: increase my faith.

I worship you as my first beginning,

\nI praise you as my constant helper,
\nAnd call on you as my loving protector.<\/p>\n
Guide me by your wisdom, correct me with your justice,
\nComfort me with your mercy, protect me with your power.<\/p>\n
I offer you, Lord, my thoughts: to be fixed on you;
\nMy words: to have you for their theme;
\nMy actions: to reflect my love for you;
\nMy sufferings: to be endured for your greater glory.<\/p>\n
I want to do what you ask of me:

Help me to repent of my past sins

Let me love you, my Lord and my God,

\nA pilgrim in this world,
\nA Christian called to respect and love
\nAll whose lives I touch,
\nThose under my authority,
\nMy friends and my enemies.<\/p>\n
Help me to conquer anger with gentleness,
\nGreed by generosity,
\nApathy by fervor.
\nHelp me to forget myself
\nAnd reach out toward others.<\/p>\n
Make me prudent in planning,
\nCourageous in taking risks.
\nMake me patient in suffering, unassuming in prosperity.<\/p>\n
Keep me, Lord, attentive at prayer,
\nTemperate in food and drink,
\nDiligent in my work,

Let my conscience be clear,

Teach me to realize that this world is passing,
