What’s Happening

Corpus Christi Procession, Sunday, June 18th

This year we will again process with the Blessed Sacrament on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi.  In order to allow more parishioners to participate, the route will be shorter.  The procession will begin at 2:00pm from the Worship Center, and will proceed to the site of the future church.  There, Father Barkett will commission the new Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EM’s), and the seasoned EM’s will renew their commitment to serving the parish in this holy service.  We will conclude with Benediction.

Following the commissioning ceremony the Italian Heritage Society will be providing ice cream for all who participate.

Plenary Indulgence of the Jubilee of Our Lady of Fatima

A plenary indulgence of the jubilee is granted to the pious faithful who visit with devotion an image of Our Lady of Fatima solemnly displayed for public veneration in any temple, oratory or adequate place, during the days of the anniversary of the apparitions (the 13th of each month through to October 2017), and devotedly participate there in any celebration or prayer in honor of the Virgin Mary, pray the Our Father, recite the Symbol of Faith (Creed) and invoke Our Lady of Fatima.  So as to allow our parishioners to obtain the plenary indulgence, Fr. Barkett’s Our Lady of Fatima statue will be on display on the 13th of the month from June through October.
